Dale began her commercial venture into painting as a cottage industry allowing her to spend quality time with her 3 children. She has been creating her own style for over 25 years. Her love of texture, color and patterns are vividly expressed in all her designs. Whatever the vessel may be, the finished work of art is always fueled by her personality. Each piece is designed and handpainted with a focus on detail.
Her handpainted glassware depicts elegant and timeless patterns inspired by nature. She has developed her own style and techniques by taking classes and reading extensively on this subject. Each design is created using non-toxic paint especially for glassware and is heat treated to withstand washing. The end result is a beautiful, high quality collection for dining and entertaining, creating the perfect atmosphere and conversation for any gathering.
Dale’s gourds range in size 2” small to her large 12-14” Santa gourds. Gourds are bought from a local farm and then scrubbed to their natural patina before painting. Reflecting a love of history, all the work is inspired by motifs, designs and patterns from early America. The style is primitive in nature, but stylized, working well in many types of decor.
